About Pet World Plane

Pet World Plane is an independent website about reward-based dog training. It covers the mechanics — timing, markers, criteria, rate of reinforcement — rather than philosophy, because the mechanics are what usually go wrong.

What this site covers

Three subjects, each treated in depth: how reinforcement actually works second by second, why dogs pull on lead and what changes it, and the developmental window in which a puppy learns what is normal. We do not cover feeding, health or competition sport.

Our position on method

We describe reward-based training only. Equipment designed to work through pain, startle or fear is not presented here as an option, and that is a stated editorial position rather than a neutral omission. It reflects the published position statements of the veterinary-behaviour organisations we cite.

Who writes here

Articles are written and edited in-house by the Pet World Plane editorial team. We are not veterinarians or certified behaviourists, and we say so on every page. Our work is to read the published guidance of professional training and welfare bodies carefully and to explain it without the jargon.

Accuracy and corrections

Each article names the organisations it drew on. When a reader shows us something is wrong, we fix it and date the change — the editorial policy explains the process.
